Linkin park Singer Hacked

A die hard fan of the popular music band Linkin Park appears to have hacked into the lead singer's mobile phone web account, stealing the phone bill, call records, SMS and digital photos taken using the phone.

She appears to have hacked the cell phone company Verizon's website, in which Chester Bennington, lead singer of the rock group Linkin Park has a mobile account. She then proceeded to get herself a copy of his cell phone bill, the phone numbers he called and digital pictures taken with the phone. She also hacked into the e-mail of Bennington's wife, Talinda Bennington, and at one point called her to threaten her.

It raises serious security concerns. If a celebrity like Benninton can be hacked, what can normal surfers like you and me do to prevent our private information being stolen?

Few Tips:
  • Never give your passwords to anyone. Not even to your spouse. :)
  • Never write down your passwords anywhere.
  • Change passwords often.
  • Delete all private data (cache, stored passwords, history, bookmarks, etc.) after browsing from a shared network like Net Cafes.
  • Never Use 'Remember Password' feature in any browser.
  • Always use firefox securely.
